Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir contacter Gilles Boulenger, l'un des deux organisateurs (avec Frédéric Temps) de l'Étrange Festival. Ce dernier a gentiment répondu à nos questions concernant la Carte Blanche donnée à Gaspar Noé.
Pourquoi avoir contacté Gaspar Noé cette année ?
Car nous avons suivi son travail depuis le début de sa carrière et avons présenté l'intégralité de ses films à L'Étrange Festival (à l'exception d'Irréversible sorti en salles bien avant la manifestation).
Gaspar a-t-il accepté tout de suite votre proposition ?
Oui. Car Gaspar est un aficionado du festival, qu'il apprécie le travail que nous faisons et que c'était pour lui l'opportunité rêvée de parler de ses influences, des films qui l'ont marqué en pouvant les montrer et pas seulement en parler.
Gaspar Noé, bien qu’ayant participé par le passé à l’Étrange Festival, est-il déjà venu en spectateur ?
Oui. Pour certaines séances. Mais comme tous les invités du festival, connus ou non, il assiste aux projections de son choix en tout anonymat.
Gaspar Noé restera-t-il durant les projections ?
Il assistera à ses projections dans la mesure de ses disponibilités.

We have been lucky to contact Gilles Boulenger, one of the two organisers (with Frédéric Temps) of L'Étrange Festival. He kindly answered our questions about the Carte Blanche given to Gaspar Noé.
Why did you contact Gaspar Noé this year ?
Because we followed his work since the beggining of his career and we screened his whole filmography in the Étrange Festival (except for Irréversible, released in theaters way before the event).
Did Gaspar agree to your offer straightaway?
Yes. Because Gaspar is an aficionado of the festival, he likes the work we do, and it was for him the dreamt occasion to talk about his influences, movies thaht affected him, by showing them and not only talk about them.
Did Gaspar Noé, although he participated to "L'Étrange Festival" by the past, already go as an audience member?
Yes. For some screenings. But like every guests of the festival, famous or not, he attends the screenings of his choice totally anonymous.
Will Gaspar Noé stay during the screenings ?
He'll be at his screenings according to his availability.
